On March 1st, neighbors came together once again for Gaskill Coffee Time, this time hosted in Robin’s beautiful backyard. What started as a simple morning coffee turned into a lively neighborhood gathering, with people drifting in and out, catching up with familiar faces and meeting neighbors they hadn’t yet crossed paths with.
The table quickly filled with coffee, homemade treats, and snacks, while conversations spread across the garden. Parents chatted while kids explored the yard together, neighbors compared notes about the block, and new residents had the chance to put names to faces. It was the kind of gathering that reminds you how much easier it is to feel at home when you actually know the people around you.
These informal mornings have become one of the ways the Gaskill Neighbors Association is helping build stronger connections in the neighborhood. Alongside community projects and conversations with the City about local issues, these simple gatherings give neighbors a chance to slow down, spend time together, and strengthen the fabric of the community.
A big thank you to Robin for hosting, and to everyone who stopped by, brought something to share, or simply came with a good story and a cup of coffee.
Gaskill Coffee Time will continue rotating around the neighborhood so different blocks can take turns hosting and participating.
One cup of coffee at a time, we’re getting to know our neighbors — and making Gaskill feel a little more connected each month. 🌿
