On April 5th, a beautiful spring morning, neighbors gathered once again for Gaskill Coffee Time — this time hosted by Natanya and Matt in their welcoming backyard. What started as a simple cup of coffee quickly turned into a lively neighborhood gathering, with people drifting in and out, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new neighbors along the way.
The yard filled with conversation as coffee was poured and homemade treats were shared. Kids had their own corner to play, draw, and explore, while adults relaxed under the trees, chatting across couches, picnic tables, and garden paths. It was one of those easy, unstructured mornings that reminds you how much stronger a neighborhood feels when people simply spend time together.
These gatherings continue to grow in their own natural way — a mix of long-time neighbors and new faces, all coming together without much formality, just openness and curiosity.
A big thank you to Natanya and Matt for hosting, and to everyone who came by, brought something to share, or simply showed up with a coffee in hand.
Gaskill Coffee Time will continue rotating around the neighborhood so different blocks can take turns hosting and participating.
One cup of coffee at a time, we’re getting to know our neighbors — and making Gaskill feel a little more connected each month. 🌿
We’re also excited to keep the momentum going — don’t miss the upcoming Earth Day Plant Giveaway hosted by the Golden Gate Community Association on April 25. More details at the following link: https://www.gaskillneighbors.org/event-details-registration/ggca-earth-day-plant-giveaway
